Cape Cod's design-build studio for second-home owners.
Nothing leaves our hands half-built. Roberts is a Hyannis-based design-build studio, fifteen years deep. Every drawing, every joint, every plant on your property is handled by someone on our payroll — never a sub. That is the difference you feel on a finished site, and the reason our calendar fills a season in advance.
Bluestone, granite, and natural stone patios designed to live alongside Cape Cod's coastal climate. We've built hundreds of hardscape projects across the Cape — from simple walkways to full outdoor living rooms with kitchens, fire pits, and seat walls.
Every slab is set by hand, on our own crew. No subcontractors. That's the only way we know a patio will still look right fifteen years from now.

From native plant gardens to full-property landscape plans, our design team builds outdoor environments that complement Cape Cod's coastal character. We design, source, and install — no outside vendors, no handoffs between phases.
We specialize in low-maintenance, salt-tolerant plantings that hold up to New England winters and the Cape's sandy soil. Your property should look better every year, not worse.

A well-placed water feature changes the entire feel of a Cape Cod property. We design and install custom fountains, pondless waterfalls, naturalistic streams, and recirculating water walls — all with water-efficient, low-maintenance recirculating systems.
Every feature is engineered to handle New England freeze-thaw cycles and comes with winterization planning built into the install scope.

Slope erosion, drainage issues, and failing railroad-tie walls are among the most common problems on Cape Cod properties. We engineer and hand-build natural stone retaining walls that stop the problem permanently — and look like they've always been there.
From single-tier garden walls to multi-tier engineered slope systems, every build includes integrated drainage so water never becomes your next problem.
Fix your slope for good →
Low-voltage landscape lighting extends the hours you can use the outdoor spaces you paid for. We design, install, and wire full lighting plans: path lights, step lights, uplighting, deck lighting, and architectural wash — all marine-rated for Cape Cod's salt air.
All wiring runs in conduit. All fixtures are rated for coastal environments. All systems are compatible with smart home controllers.

Cape Cod's sandy soil drains fast. A properly designed irrigation system — zoned by plant type, soil condition, and sun exposure — is the difference between a landscape that thrives and one you're constantly replacing. We design, install, and winterize complete residential systems.
All systems include smart controllers with rain sensors. We work with Hunter and Rainbird equipment and offer annual start-up and blow-out service.

Since 2009, Roberts Landscape Design & Construction has been Cape Cod's quiet hand for transforming outdoor and indoor spaces. We work from Hyannis, up and down the Cape, and across greater Massachusetts and New England when the project asks for it.
Fifteen years and five hundred-plus projects in, the practice has stayed deliberately small. Every drawing, every joint, every plant is handled by people who carry our name. That is the difference you feel on a finished site — and the reason most of our clients are on a first-name basis with the crew.
Also serving: Greater Massachusetts · Rhode Island · Connecticut · New Hampshire

Stone retaining wall
"Our old railroad-tie wall had been slowly rotting since the late 90s and we just kept living with it. Robert came out, walked the slope with my husband, and didn't try to upsell us on anything we didn't need. The crew showed up when they said they would — and the new stone wall looks like it's always been there."
Outdoor kitchen + landscape lighting
"What I appreciated most was the communication — weekly progress updates with photos, no surprises on the invoice, and a final walkthrough where they actually listened to the small tweaks I asked for. Pricier than the other quotes we got, but the difference in workmanship is obvious."
Full landscape redesign — native plants
"Robert's team was the only one who took the native-plant brief seriously. We ended up with bayberry, beach plum, little bluestem, and a sweep of black-eyed susans along the back fence. It looks intentional but loose — exactly the coastal-meadow feel I wanted."
Bluestone patio + fire pit
"Bluestone patio and a fieldstone fire pit. Quoted fair, started on time, finished a day early. No drama. Highly recommend."
Cedar privacy fence + perennial garden
"They worked around our dog and around my crazy nurse schedule. Two of my coworkers have already asked for their number. The fence has held up perfectly through a Cape Cod winter so far."
Backyard transformation
"We had a sad patch of crabgrass and a leaning swing set. Robert designed a whole backyard — bluestone path, a patio with a fire pit, a play area, and a section of lawn the kids can actually run on. Should've called him three years ago."
"Robert's replaced our old, rotting railroad ties with a beautiful stone wall and new steps to the front door."
